Startup: CS 183
In the Spring of 2012 Peter Thiel conceived and taught a course at Stanford University. With Startup: CS 183 Thiel has been sharing with the next generation of tech entrepreneurs the lessons he has learned about starting and building groundbreaking companies.
Offered through Stanford’s world-renowned computer science department and filled with hundreds of students in its first quarter, Startup covered a diverse range of relevant subjects, including engineering, applied sciences, business, economics, sociology and psychology. Supplementing Thiel’s broad range of expertise were special guest lecturers, including first-time and serial entrepreneurs, VCs and technologists from within and beyond the Founders Fund network, each providing a distinctive perspective.
