Derik Pridmore

Derik Pridmore is a principal at Founders Fund, where he reviews investment opportunities and participates in all stages of the diligence and investment process.

Derik has experience with pure science and engineering, as well as finance. He was previously at Clarium Capital, a global macro hedge fund. At Clarium he traded every major asset class, generating strategies for a portfolio he managed as well as Clarium’s main fund. Prior to Clarium, Derik traded fixed income derivatives at JP Morgan. Derik began his career helping entrepreneurs and companies protect innovation in the areas of electronics, integrated devices, communication systems, and algorithms at an intellectual property law firm in Boston. Derik spent his academic career at MIT, where he earned a BS in Physics and a BS and Masters in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering.
